Eligibility

  • 2.0 GPA in previous grading period (fall freshmen automatically OK)
  • Athletic Clearance Forms are online Here (HomeCampus)
  • Athletic Physical (valid all school year) can be from
    • – Your family doctor The form to print and take to your doctor is Here
    • – School Health Center (roughly $25)
  • • Your Physical form must be returned to Ms. Julie Gonzalez (PE Teacher and Women’s Athletic Director)

Team Size
and Line-up

  • • Varsity is top 4 singles players and 3 doubles teams (play every match)
  • • JV is everyone else (play matches when opposition has JV players)

Equipment

  • The school will supply racquets (you can bring your own if you like) and balls

  • BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE EVERY DAY

Practices

We practice every school day that there isn't a match (That's Monday-Friday until matches begin in mid-September).

Last year practice was split between those who didn't have a 7th period and those who did. If we do that again, then practice starts 20 minutes after your last class and lasts 90 minutes.

  • • Clothing: tennis/running shoes, comfortable sportswear (no street clothes)
  • • Activities: stretching, warmup, skills instruction, practice matches
  • • Excused absences: illnesses, funerals, family emergencies
    • • Any other absence requires prior approval from the coach(es)

  Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 16 to October 23 (see calendar below)
